About Flappy Bird
Flappy Bird is a bird, a button and a row of pipes. Each tap flaps the bird upward, gravity pulls it down, and the openings in the pipes are exactly one bird tall with a little room to spare. The score is how many pipes you pass. Everyone's first score is under five; a good score is over fifty; the game has no end.
It is a bone gap with wings: one input, one opening, and a death that is always your own timing.
How to Play Flappy Bird
- Press Play, then tap or press Space to start.
- Tap to flap. Do not tap and the bird falls.
- Glide through the gap in each pair of pipes.
- Keep going. A pipe touched is the end of the run.
Controls
- Space, Up arrow, click or tap: flap.
- That is all of them.
Tips and Tricks
- Tap in a rhythm and adjust the rhythm, rather than reacting to each pipe.
- Aim for the lower third of the gap; the fall is faster than the flap.
- Look at the next pipe, not the bird.
- Stop when you are annoyed. The score gets worse, not better.
